This painting is the final artwork in my series depicting hidden women. In the final painting of the series, I used colors to show the woman coming into the light and out of the shadows. The dark color in the corners of the painting give way to a rich blue hue. I added dabs of gold to indicate her freedom. Her eyes are closed and her face appears serene to represent her ability to overcome obstacles.
